VL 5.8 standard on an old pentium 200

Today I managed to install Vector Linux on an old Pentium 200 mmx with 40 mb of ram. I had to change the default window manager (xfce4) to windowmaker. I have to say that it runs better than expected.

Here is the first screenshot:


The next thing I will try , is to install Fluxbox anc compare it with windowmaker and to test the battery life.

Today we are the 27th of june, with other words in 30 days I'm having a 2 week holiday :-) FINALLY !!
Since I began to work in October I only had one day off + the official holidays.

I'm gonna be sooo happy !

Vector Linux mug

A few weeks ago I ordered a Vector Linux mug at cafepress.com and it shipped today ! I was a bit afraid it won't ship in one piece, but it was very well packed!I will enjoy a nice cup of coffee right now :-)
